What do you get when you combine some classic character mashup humor with the simplicity of a Tintin panel and the soft feel of a Kazu Kibuishi comic? The answer should look a lot like artist Andry Shango’s work. Yet another contributor to Udon’s Mega Man Tribute collection, Shango has dreamed up some super-cute Pixar and Hayao Miyazaki scenes, as well as a couple of implicitly more mature portraits featuring the Hulk and Gollum in Heath Ledger-style Joker makeup.
Shango’s blog is simply titled, “El Shango wuz here,” and it has indeed been about a month since he shared anything new, but if you dig his Mario-trolling Toad and dancing Spider-Man paintings, you should definitely encourage him to post more often.
His peaceful moment shared by Po from Kung Fu Panda and the Ninja Turtles’ Michelangelo takes us to a happy place, as does his TRON universe Wonder Woman redesign. Let us know what you think and check out a few more choice selections below.Damnit, I was going to blog these photos tonight.
